Sleep? Please?

Okay, I am officially exhausted from wedding pictures. I have so many that I want to show you from the temple but they are going to have to wait. Let me tell you about my semester from well...let's just say a place I don't ever want to visit.

I'm being insanely dramatic. This semester is amazing and I love it, it's basically just this week that has been killing me. It's felt like two or even three weeks sometimes. I thought it would never end but I only have to last for ONE more day! Yeeeeeaah!

My D&C teacher told us in class the other day that murmuring is a sign of little faith...or deep faith is shown through positive something. Gosh I don't remember the quote and I can't find it but basically he told us that if we complain, we have not so good faith. Well my dear friends, I'm complaining today. It's just how it is right now. I guess my faith is not deep this week.

I got a phone call last week from a lady in Rexburg looking for an accompanist for a senior recital that is this Saturday. I was so excited but then I realized...crap...I have to find time to practice and one of the pieces turns out to be a violin concerto...a.k.a. orchestral reduction on my part. Ouch. So, I've been stressing over getting that music learned and rehearsed at 7:15 a.m. today. I about had a panic attack when I realized I don't know how to follow a violinist!!! It was super difficult but by the end of the day we got it mostly worked out. Phew. Still super nervous though.

My hair has been in a nasty bun all week.

I've showered like three times this whole week and I've washed my hair twice. Be grossed out, I'm not offended.

Okay confessions about my bad hygiene this week...over. I promise this is rare, I usually shower daily and wash my hair 5-7 times a week.

Well, I have many other things to complain about from this semester but I'm going to hold it all in. I want to go to bed but I'm being good and staying up with Mathew while he finishes his homework. He's been so sweet to stay up with me all week while I've been up to midnight making patterns and commercials. Okay okay, now I'm really going to hold it in.

So happy it's the weekend. And that next weekend is a long weekend.

I'm ready.

Happy Birthday!

I'm taking a break from wedding posts for today. I just want to wish my fabulous husband a very Happy Birthday! He is such a cute birthday boy. :) He was so giddy yesterday in anticipation...okay maybe giddy is going a little overboard but he was more excited than I was expecting, and I loved it. We woke up and he opened his presents before class. It was extremely difficult to figure out things that he wanted but I ended up getting him new shoes and a giant bag of peanut butter M&Ms. Dangerous.

As the birthday boy, he got to pick where we went to lunch: McDonald's. Okay I confess, I really love a Big Mac every now and then. I knew they were bad for you, but didn't realize just HOW bad for you they are until I finished eating mine today. One Big Mac is over 500 calories and the fries were almost 400. I felt absolutely disgusting after eating it. Bye bye McDonald's. I must have always just been in denial about how horrible they are. Sad. Anyways back to birthday. Tonight his parents and my parents are coming to Rexburg for pizza and cake. His mom is making BTS cake and we are very very excited. It's going to be a great night! (Even though I already ate like 1000 calories I'm totally going to indulge in pizza and cake...what has happened to me?!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATHEW, I LOVE YOU!

Family

So...Sunday turned into Wednesday! Darn school, it is killing me. As promised, I'm going to talk about my family today. They were incredible.

First off, my mom. My mom was a rockstar and did so much to help me. I would have had a major breakdown without her. I love her dress too, it took a lot of convincing to get her to wear it but she did. :) Thanks mom.

Second, my daddy. My dad was so involved with the reception planning, it made me smile. He got so into the theme and had a lot of fun ideas. He was such a good support to me the whole way through the engagement.

I am so grateful to amazing parents who do so much for me and inspire me. Love you both!

Next up, Mathew's parents. They are just awesome. I felt SO welcomed into their family. His mom made me such a beautiful bouquet and fabulous corsages and boutonnieres. I just love em.

Okay now we will move on to some random family pictures.

I love my brothers. Like more than you can understand.
 My side of the family.
Don't I have pretty sisters? I love this picture!
 Mathew's side of the family.
Mathew and his brothers. (minus one on a mission)
 Mathew's cute sister
 All of my bridesmaids!
Oh my gosh, I love this picture so so so so so much.
 Little mischievous Eddie. :)
 I think Ethan had enough.
 Adorable? Yes.
This picture just makes my heart melt. Lily playing with grandpa.
Oh I wish I could describe how much I love her. Probably the fact that there are more pictures of her than anyone pretty much says it all.
Well yeah, I love my family. They have always been there to make me laugh and calm me down. I am so blessed.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures from today's post. I don't know what to post about tomorrow...any requests? I've got plenty more pictures to show!

Disclaimer: if you don't want your picture on my blog, please tell me and I will be happy to take it off. :)

Friends

First of all, I apologize for the delay in writing. I got on to write on Friday but as we all know, blogger was down. Then, my family posted was mysteriously deleted and then magically reappeared? Weird.

Anyways, today I'm going to talk about friends. I have such amazing friends and it was so fun to have them there to support me at the temple. They all were so amazing to come and it seriously meant so much to me.

I love this picture for many reasons. There are so many happy faces that just make me smile. I want you to notice Beth and Alan (Beth is the one with the camera). She was my roommate my second semester and I just love her. She was so much fun and always made me laugh. She was so thoughtful and asked me to be a bridesmaid at her wedding and I loved being a part of it. Alan was our FHE brother and he's just a great guy. They both are just awesome.

I LOVE this picture! They are just adorable together. I am so happy I could be there for her wedding and it meant so much to me that she could make it to mine and be in the sealing.

Megan and Emily. I can't say enough how much I love you both. I am always SO excited when I get to see you or even just have a simple phone conversation. You both are absolutely amazing and I am so blessed to have you in my life. I know cheesy but true.

I have the absolute best friends ever. I miss you all. Thanks for being such an amazing support to me.

The Wedding Day

I told you all yesterday that we got our pictures back. I am very excited to share them with you. Instead of bombarding you with a ton of pictures in one post, I'm going to break it up a little bit. So I bring you Day 1 of wedding photos. Today will be dedicated to our first few moments as husband and wife.

Hello...we're married now

Of course we had to get a shoe shot

Thank you honey for protecting my dress

Two shoe shots in one post?? Yeah I couldn't help myself

Tomorrow I think we will talk about my wonderful family. Stay tuned!

P.S. Thank you all for following my blog, it makes me feel loved.

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the new blog: Candace AND Mathew. I tried to think of a cute domain name but I must not be creative enough. There is still a lot of work to do with the new blog so please be patient and try to not be too bored.

Good news: we got our wedding pictures back! Yay! They are absolutely amazing! Thank you so so so much Cyr Photography, you were incredible! I will post some soon! I have some ideas on how to post them but it's a work in progress.

So I got all done setting up the background and colors only to realize that the background is basically our wedding colors! Whoops! I promise you that was totally unintentional...but I guess it's just proof that I really loved my colors. :)

Be sure to follow me here because I'm not so happy with the zero followers thing...it makes me feel kinda lame. Please and thank you. :)
